Bend, OR – Is there any chance Oregon will stabilize state fiscal policy and service levels this year?  Join the Bend Chamber and local delegates for an inside look of what’s coming ahead in this 2017 legislative session.

On Jan. 24 at the Deschutes Brewery Tap Room, Senator Tim Knopp, Representative Knute Buehler, Representative Gene Whisnant and Representative Mike McLane will dive into the upcoming “800 lb. gorilla” of the post-Measure 97 budget debate and revenue reform, healthcare and Medicaid, funding schools K-12 and higher including OSU Cascades, addressing PERS,  opportunities for economic growth and more.

Can Governor Brown convene a budget compromise by end of session?  Will the business community lead the charge on a transportation package?  Does land-use planning have any opportunity for a regional approach to assist affordable and workforce housing?  These questions are just a few to be addressed with the delegates and guests in attendance.

A question and answer period will be incorporated into the forum. Register online at bendchamber.org.
