The East Cascades Workforce Investment Board (ECWIB) is seeking applications from local businesses with an interest in providing training to current employees to aid in employee advancement.

Summary of Funding Opportunity:

Investments in Incumbent Worker Training are focused on meeting the needs of an employer or group of employers so that they may retain a skilled workforce, avert potential layoffs or grow employment. These investments help to offset employer costs associated with developing a more competitive workforce and providing existing employees with opportunities for advancement and/or wage gains within their company. In addition, incumbent worker programs often focus on increasing the skill levels of employees so that they may be promoted into higher skilled positions, creating back-fill opportunities for lesser skilled employees.

For this opportunity, the ECWIB is seeking proposals from private employers requiring resources to support incumbent, or existing worker training, in the East Cascades workforce area. ECWIB will focus funding on proposals that present an opportunity for employers to build and maintain a quality workforce and increase the competiveness of both employees and employer(s).
